The fine print, in plain English
Privacy Policy
The short version: I collect only what you give me, I use it to help you, and I never sell it. Here's the longer version.
Who I am
This website is run by Lisa Monks, founder of ChipMonk Media, based in Cairns, Queensland, Australia. If you have any questions about this policy or your information, email me at lisa@lisamonks.com and I'll get back to you.
What I collect, and why
When you fill in a form on this site - a contact enquiry, workshop interest, newsletter signup or guide request - you give me things like your name, email address, business name and whatever you write in the message fields. I use those details to reply to you, send you what you asked for, and understand what kind of help you're after. That's it.
Form submissions are stored in MailerLite, the email platform I use to manage my mailing lists and send my AI Bites newsletter. Enquiries also land in my email inbox (Google Workspace) so I can reply personally.
Emails and unsubscribing
If you subscribe to AI Bites or request a guide, you'll receive emails from me. Every newsletter has an unsubscribe link at the bottom - one click and you're off the list, no dramas. I never sell, rent or swap your details with anyone.
Analytics and cookies
Like most websites, this site uses analytics tools to understand how visitors use it - which pages people read, how they found the site, and where things might be confusing. These tools use cookies or similar technology and may collect your device type, browser, rough location and pages visited.
The tools used are: Google Analytics 4 (loaded through Google Tag Manager), Microsoft Clarity (which produces anonymised heatmaps and session recordings to show how pages are used), and Vercel Analytics (basic page-view counts from the platform that hosts this site).
None of this identifies you personally, and I only look at it in aggregate to make the site better. If you prefer not to be included, most browsers let you block cookies, and browser extensions can block analytics entirely.
Where your data lives
The services above (MailerLite, Google, Microsoft, Vercel) may store data on servers outside Australia, including the United States. Each provider publishes its own privacy policy describing how it protects that data.
Affiliate and external links
Some links on this site - particularly on the Tools of the Trade page - are affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission if you sign up, at no extra cost to you. I only recommend tools I genuinely use. External websites have their own privacy policies, and this one stops at my front door.
Your rights
You can ask me at any time what information I hold about you, ask me to correct it, or ask me to delete it. Email lisa@lisamonks.com and I'll sort it out. I handle personal information in line with the Australian Privacy Principles in the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth).
Changes to this policy
If the way I handle information changes - for example, if I add a new tool - I'll update this page and change the date below. Last updated: 6 July 2026.
