Turn documents into AI-ready Markdown

Drop in your Word documents, PDFs and text files, and this page turns each one into a clean Markdown (.md) file - the format AI tools understand best. Everything happens right here on your device: your documents are never uploaded, nothing is stored, and the finished files download straight back to your computer.

Word (.docx)  ·  PDF  ·  Text (.txt)  ·  RTF

Your documents are never uploaded - everything happens on your device.

How it works

Three steps, no sign-up

1

Drop your documents in

Word (.docx), PDF, plain text or RTF - one file or a whole batch. Anything the tool can't handle is politely skipped with a note, never silently lost.

2

Each one becomes clean Markdown

Headings, lists, tables and links are kept; fonts, colours and messy styling are stripped away. Pictures are pulled out into a tidy assets folder and linked from the file, captions included.

3

Download straight to your computer

A plain .md file for text-only documents, or a small zip (the file plus its images) when there are pictures. Nothing is stored anywhere - close the page and it's all gone.

Questions you might have

Why Markdown?

Markdown is a simple, plain-text way of writing that AI tools read almost perfectly - much better than they read Word files or PDFs. If you're building a Business Brain (a folder of documents an AI assistant can draw on), Markdown is the format that makes every answer sharper.

Is it really private?

Yes. The conversion runs inside your web browser, on your computer, using nothing but the page you're looking at. Your documents are never uploaded, and I couldn't peek at them even if I wanted to. If you're curious, turn your Wi-Fi off after the page loads - the tool keeps working.

What about scanned PDFs?

A PDF made of photographed pages has no real text inside it, so there's nothing to convert. Rather than hand you an empty file, the tool flags it as needing OCR (text recognition) - a scanner app or Adobe's free online OCR can fix that, and then the PDF will convert happily.
